Let Me Talk to You…Please

Hey there! I got back my edits for a Promise Fulfilled and I’m comfortable enough to put it up for pre-order. There isn’t a lot to clean up at all. As at the time of this blog post, I’m 95% done. Yay! This has been quite a busy year for me.

My editor LOVES the story. Couldn’t stop gushing about the new family. One thing I have learned from tackling this new part of Africa…the northern part, Morocco… is the prejudices people in this modern time still hold about certain people/places. Or maybe prejudice isn’t the word…stereotype. The late Chinua Achebe had this to say about stereotypes.

“The whole idea of a stereotype is to simplify. Instead of going through the problem of all this great diversity – that it’s this or maybe that – you have just one large statement; it is this.”

Just because a country is predominantly Muslim, doesn’t mean there isn’t a sizable Christian population. We no longer live in a time of absolutes, the world is getting smaller and cultures are mixing. Ok. I’m getting off my soap box.

Enjoy the teaser and head to Amazon to preorder your copy. Out Dec 6th. Preorder price is $2.99 after the 6th, it goes up to $3.99

A famous music producer. A second chance love. And the small town where it all began.
For Yasmine, Christmas isn’t worth celebrating. She has to leave. Once she finds out Kojo is coming to town, her resolve to be on the next thing out of town is cemented. If only her grandmother would let her be great.

    1. She is. But I think we will all see that she was somehow justified, however Kojo wasn’t totally to blame. I’m so geeked for you to meet this couple

      1. I’m ready as well, I cannot seem to find a good book right now. Soo guess what I’m re-reading The Christmas Ultimatum
