What Thanksgiving Means to Me? – Unoma Nwankwor

I  believe that every day should be Thanksgiving. We should have some reason to be thankful every day. Being intentional in our thanks makes our burdens light.

Still, the day set aside as Thanksgiving Day has a special meaning to me and I look forward to it every year. For me it  means reflection, family, friends, and lots of food.

Reflection on the goodness of God and all He has done for me and my family. It’s also a day I take some kind of stock of my year. Thanksgiving  marks the beginning of the holiday season which wraps up the year nicely, so I reflect a lot of how good of a steward I’ve been of the talents God so graciously gave me.
