2022: A Recap…Kind Of

Hey there!

We’re at the end of another year. I’m always in awe of how the days just run by and bam…the year is ended. I wasn’t going to do a recap, didn’t feel up to it. But I’ve done one every year, and despite my how my heart feels, I didn’t want this year to be different.

2022, took away the most important person to me, thereby turning the world as I know it upside down. On September 15, my mom unexpectedly left this earth. The pain and heartbreak aren’t something I can completely articulate. Anyway, she encouraged my writing every step of the way. Every story, every character, the translations…all her. We discussed it all.

So, let’s get to it.

  • This year I had the privilege of releasing four published works. Three full length novels and a short.

In March, Destiny Fulfilled which is the second installment of the DuBois-Arazi family novels. It features Mustafa & Zaina.

Next, Rent A Bae in June and His Makeshift Fiancée in November. These are book I and 2 in the Away to Africa series. Psst…book three, A Suitable Wife is up for preorder, go get it. I really did think that His Makeshift Fiancée would be it for me for the year. Since that was the book, I was writing when my mom passed. I did rest quite a bit after returning from Nigeria for her funeral.

However, creating is an escape for me, so, on Christmas Day, I released Home for the Holidays. Which is a Christmas short featuring the characters from the Invisible Shackles series.

  • Two of my books were nominated for the Best Christion Award from BRAB.
  • I co-launched Tatafo Tales: Tatafo Tales is TMZ for African Romance. To keep up with my couples and those of other African romance authors, you should check it out on social media. Follow, like & share!

All of this wouldn’t have been possible without your support. For that I say THANK YOU!!

For 2023, I have so much planned. Will share more in time. The first order of business though is the release of Suitors & Sweethearts on 2/ 7 / 2023. It’s a limited-edition box set by 5 African authors and myself. You can preorder on all major online platforms.

Before I go, looking for a sexy short read to ring in the New Year? Check out A New Year’s Kiss if you haven’t.

I wish you a very happy and prosperous New Year ahead!

Peace & Blessings

  1. I love reading your novels, they draw you in and make you feel like you’re right there in Nigeria with the characters in the book. Keep up the great work
