One of my greatest joys as a writer is when readers tell me, “Unoma makes me want to pack my bags and visit (insert any African country)!” That means I’ve done my job…introducing you to the beauty of Africa and beyond.

My stories are rooted in real locations across the continent—from Kenya to Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, Rwanda, Tunisia, South Africa, and of course, my home country Nigeria. Through rich culture, vibrant food, layered language, soulful music, and powerful love stories, I aim to take you on a journey that feels both intimate and unforgettable.

In 2019, I stepped into my creative freedom and introduced Tweede Kans Cove, my first fictional town. Inspired by Ifrane, Morocco, it’s home to the wealthy and complicated DuBois-Arazi family, where legacy and second chances take center stage.

As the UN Universe expanded, I created Luxe Noir Township, a fictional town outside Charleston, SC. Founded on the hard-won success of formerly enslaved Africans (Now Black Americans), Luxe Noir made its debut in A Suitable Wife (June 2023). It reflects the elegance, ambition, and generational wealth of the African-American elite—layered with romance, family, and faith.

Then in 2024, the City of Everstone Creek joined the pack. First introduced in Autumn’s Grace, this small town just outside Atlanta offers Big-City access with small-town soul. It’s a place where community thrives, love grows quietly, and faith still anchors everyday life.

Each place in my universe is more than a setting. It’s a character, rich with story and meaning. So whether you’re headed to a coastal resort in Morocco or a quiet café in Georgia, I hope you feel something real.
