Hey there! I appreciate moms so much; nobody does it like us. My mom was the best there is. But…
There’s something to be said about the importance and the influence of dads that is sometimes underrated. I didn’t say fathers as anyone can father a child but being a daddy… that’s a thankless job that doesn’t always get enough praise.
I know I appreciate mine, my husband and my brothers. They are all fine #BlackDads.
Today I want to honor them and the #BlackDads I have in the U. N. Universe. In my book world I have a lot of dads. But today, I want to highlight those that entered the U. N. Universe as dads.

Kojo ‘Keyz’ Sarbah, a music producer and a divorced dad of one, Kwame. During the Christmas holidays, he had to perform at a charity event in the town he grew up in and hadn’t been back to in years. He took his son to the snowy town of Tweede Kans Cove where he also was on a mission to win his childhood sweetheart back. Trope: Second Chance. Read his story in A Promise Fulfilled
Osaro Ikimi, a security cyber expert and the adoptive dad of his niece, Eseosa. To fully integrate her into life, he buys a new house and minimizes travel in an effort to be fully present. He is prepared to parent on his own but why should he when his niece’s new teacher looks like she can complete their puzzle. Trope: Meet Cute. Read his story in To Live Again.
Jidenna Kalu, a sculptor and widowed dad of one, Uju. Any dad who learns the plie and tendu ballet steps to help his daughter excel in dance class is a winner. Her dance teacher though, thinks differently. But he is up to changing her mind. Trope: Marriage of Convivence. Read his story in A Suitable Wife.
Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads out there!
Until next time,
Peace & Blessings

Amen a dad, pops or daddy is a different term than father. For me I had a father but not a dad.
Dad or pops is the person who is nurturing, loving and there for you no matter what.
You’re absolutely correct! Thanks for stopping by.
