Hey there!
It’s been a minute, but I got a good reason why…LOL. I’ve been busy writing, trying to bring you some seasonal and holiday stories. So, first, thank you for your support of my last release, Legacy Fulfilled. The last book in the DuBois-Arazi series has been well received and I am so grateful. If you haven’t met the family, now is the time to do so.
Okay, so let’s get into what I’ve been up to. Legacy Fulfilled was honestly going to be my last release of the year, but then I messed around and watched one Christmas movie…the rest is history. So first, I decided to write a cute Fall short story titled Autumn’s Grace. Remember this from Game of Two Halves? When Nonso and Dumebi were having a conversation in Fusion Haven over lunch?

A text from Ray came in, letting me know where he would be when I was ready. I leaned forward and took off my sunglasses, resting my forearms on my thighs. I stared at my sister. “You keep giving me advice, but you have your own issues to address. When are you going to talk to someone about them?”
“What issues?” Dumebi asked.
“Emeka, Ismael, Tony, Jide…none of them were ever good enough for you? None of them will ever be in my eyes, but surely there was one who met your standards?”
Well, little did we know, there is a VJ named Jaedyn “Jax” Nwadike that Dumebi has long had a thing for. Enter Autumn’s Grace.
🍁🍂 A swoon filled heartwarming story of love, grace and second chances set against the charming backdrop of the City of Everstone Creek. Dumebi & Jaedyn are brought together at a local festival and sparks fly as they reconnect after years apart. But does Dumebi allow herself to be caught this time around? Preorder Here

In this sample, Jaedyn is having a conversation with his friend Eric.
“You and Dums. It’s crazy that you both ended up here in Everstone, at the same church, working together at the festival.”
I couldn’t help but smirk knowingly. He was partially right. I did move back because of her; I even bought a house in Riverbend Estates because of her. But the whole church thing? That was all God’s doing. He knew I was finally ready for my wife, and He made sure we crossed paths quicker than I expected.
Eric let out a laugh. “Wait a minute, are you telling me you followed her to this church?”
I chuckled. “No way, man. But God definitely showed me some grace. I promised her years ago that I would come back for her.”
Our love story wasn’t a dramatic one of heartache and pain. It was simply a matter of timing. She wasn’t ready for the kind of love I had to offer then. Through her eyes, I could see the hurt she tried to hide from everyone else. One night when she was drunk, she opened up about her issues with her father abandoning her and her brother. She said she felt broken and scared of my strong feelings for her. She probably doesn’t even remember that conversation, but I do. And I knew that no matter how much I loved her, if she didn’t believe she was deserving of it and learned to trust me, our relationship would always be a chase for me and a run for her.
Autmn’s Grace is now available for pre-order. Although Dumebi originally appears in Game of Two Halves, you do not have to read that book to enjoy this. Only if you want to enjoy the whole experience.
Hope you enjoyed today’s sample. Do not forget to preorder.
Peace & Blessing,
