Next Friday, Legacy Fulfilled releases into the world. Here is the final sample.
Not trusting himself to speak, he winked at her before asking, “And this?” Omar held up a worn concert ticket.
Tahra chuckled softly. “That’s from a concert I went to.”
Omar chuckled. “Well, I have family that can hook you up.”
“Yeah, your sister’s husband is a musician, right?”
Omar nodded. “Let him tell it, he’s more than that. Well, actually he is, but I just like giving him a hard time about it.”
“Omar and giving out hard times…that tracks,” she teased.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” A crease formed on his forehead.
“Do you remember when we tried making that spicy lamb tagine recipe, but we messed it up and set off the smoke alarm?”

Omar shook his head. Despite their causal relationship, they shared many fun memories. So, he remembered one thing Tahra Slimani was skilled at, was telling a story in a way that absolved her of any blame. She was the personification of a woman never being wrong.
“How could I forget? You had me thinking I was about to die because I couldn’t get God’s free air to breathe.”
“I told you to go outside,” she defended.
“But it was freezing out there, woman.”
“Anyway, you wouldn’t let me live it down for weeks. You gave me such a hard time.”
“As you deserved. And while you’re reminiscing, make sure you stay on the right path, so you don’t get lost.”
“Huh?”
“You keep making things up. The real story is that I tried to teach you the right way, but you insisted on doing it your way. You set off the alarm, and I was fighting for my life. My villa smelled like burnt spices for days. I don’t know where you’re going with all this ‘we,’ ‘we’ talk…”
Tahra playfully swatted his shoulder. “Where it the sense God gave you?” Omar shrugged and turned to….
This sample has been altered to protect some parts of the story. But this is basically the gist. There is still time to preorder. HERE

Until next time
